The Heart Behind the Studio

Ocean Petal Studio was born from my caregiving journey taking care of my mom, a journey that I am very blessed with—our path has been shaped by tenderness, resilience, and the quiet rituals of comfort. Over these years taking care of her I have learned that comfort isn't just a luxury, it's essential. It's essential to our wellbeing and our inner peace. Comfort comes in many forms and fashions, from visual to audio, physical to symbolic and with that in mind, every product that I have designed is meant to offer emotional support and comfort whether you're navigating recovery, caring for a loved one, or simply seeking softness in your day.

In addition to my mom being at the heart of it all is Southern, my dog, office assistant, and occasional mischief-maker. She’s the reason socks go missing and smiles return. Every item marked Southern Approved has passed her rigorous standards for coziness, charm, and nap-worthiness.

This shop is more than a storefront—it’s a sanctuary. A place where comfort meets beauty, and every detail is infused with intention.

I’m Southern—office assistant, sock thief, and honorary comfort consultant at Ocean Petal Studio. I haven’t tested every blanket myself (yet), but I did approve the one my grandma received. She loves it—and I love her.

When you see Southern Approved, it means the design passed my tail-wag test for charm, coziness, and nap potential. It’s comfort, passed down with paws-on pride.
